What We Build

Full general contracting for commercial owners

Horn manages the design team, permits, subcontractors, and schedule from the first site walk through final inspection. One contract, one point of accountability.

General Contracting

Traditional delivery from a completed set of drawings. We bid the work, hold the subcontracts, run the schedule, and carry responsibility for the finished building.

General Contracting

Design Build

Design and construction under a single agreement. One budget and one schedule, with the design developed against the construction cost from the start.

Design Build

Renovation & Adaptive Reuse

Existing buildings that need structural work, a new envelope, or a change of use. We assess what can be saved and rebuild what cannot.

Renovation & Adaptive Reuse

Industrial & Warehouse

Distribution space, light manufacturing, shop buildings, and storage facilities. Clear span structures, dock equipment, heavy slabs, and the power and drainage to support them.

Industrial & Warehouse

Retail & Office

Ground-up retail, professional offices, and tenant build-outs. Work sequenced around opening dates and, in occupied buildings, around operating hours.

Retail & Office

Athletic Facilities

Indoor courts and training space. Structure and interior finish under one contract, rather than coordinating a builder and a separate court installer.

How We Work

Mid-market commercial construction

Horn works in the mid-market range: projects large enough to require full construction management, and small enough to get direct attention from the people running the company. The Tennessee license carries a BC Unlimited classification, so building type is not a constraint.

  • Keith Horn is on site during construction, so questions get answered without waiting.
  • Tennessee license #83639, BC Unlimited classification, $2 million general liability aggregate.
  • Established subcontractor relationships across Middle Tennessee, built over twenty years.
  • Conventional and pre-engineered steel construction, so the structure suits the project.
  • One contract and one schedule, from permit through punch list.

How We Work

What happens between the first call and the keys

1

Site Walk

We visit the property, review what the building needs to do, and identify site conditions that affect cost before design begins.

2

Budget & Design

We price the project against the site and the scope. Design proceeds against that budget so the drawings and the cost stay aligned.

3

Permits & Buyout

We handle plan review and permitting with the county, and buy out subcontractors and materials before mobilizing.

4

Build & Close Out

Construction with weekly progress updates, then final inspections, punch list, warranties, and handover.

Where We Build

41 counties across Middle Tennessee

Horn Construction Group works throughout Middle Tennessee from Old Hickory, including Nashville, Franklin, Murfreesboro, Columbia, Clarksville, Gallatin, Lebanon, Dickson, and Cookeville.

Each county handles plan review differently. Knowing how the local offices operate keeps permitting from stalling a schedule.
